Charity Fundraiser - Painting Weekend to Raise Money for Doorways Derby

Here at The Unrelenting Brush, painting quickly is an exceptionally common feat. However, what could be better than simply painting quickly with decent results? Well - painting quickly with decent results for charity, of course! Thus it’s time to roll-up those sleeves and get to work.

Doorways Derby work to ensure that local, vulnerable people struggling in these difficult times are cared for and looked-after. During these troublesome days where prices are soaring and people are finding it tough to make ends meet, these wonderful souls work hard to help. When the COVID lockdown laws caused them issues in their wonderful work, they then started offering aid from outside their own front door! Naturally, we’re very excited to help support these guys and everything that they do.

How will we do this? Well, the plan is to paint up an entire Horus Heresy: Age of Darkness box over a single weekend. That’s 54 miniatures including a whopping Spartan assault tank and a hulking Contemptor Dreadnought!

We are asking for donations to Doorways Derby via our JustGiving page. Anything and everything that you can donate will be immensely appreciated and give us even further drive to get this mighty painting feat done.

This will be taking place on September 23rd and 24th, the entire weekend being dedicated to painting this herculean box. We welcome anyone to participate with us from home and join us in picking up those brushes and getting some models looking ship-shape. You can accompany us in painting your own Age of Darkness boxes or anything at all! Let’s use this as a chance to enact a positive impact whilst having fun at the same time, whether it be a single Space Marine or a hulking Lord of War - any and all are welcome!

We’ll be sharing updates on the run-up to the weekend, including a breakdown of what will be being painted, any conversion work and potentially even some giveaways!
